My favorite tall building is 875 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, the John Hancock Center. Structural Expressionism is one of my favorite styles and the tubular X bracing invention, combined with the sloped sides makes 875 a standout winning design.

Must be a very good read. The catalyst that the Seagram plaza was to NY incentivizing the building of public interface space at ground level, shows the powers of influence that were mobilized on this project. I believe Socrates made similar arguments for public welcome being designed into structures; perhaps this is a times truth?

From Niemeyer’s Contemporary Art Museum at Niteroi to Foster's Apple Campus I - easy to see the influence. Apple Campus is much more grounded and less futuristic; the accessibility and service needs must have exerted significant force.
