WIA partner: Stitch

‘I hope we set an inspiring example of inclusivity for all the young architects who come through our front door’

Stitch is delighted to promote the Women in Architecture campaign as a partner.

We are proud that everyone at Stitch has a strong voice and is given opportunities to grow and lead, regardless of gender. We think that this makes for better architecture, and also brings us more in line with our clients and the communities for whom we design. As a young and pioneering practice we are continuously searching for new ways to be inclusive to all sectors of the architectural community, and are proud that (by no design) our team is 70 per cent female.

As we grow we will continue to look for the best candidates in the market to join our team, and as always we will select people on their merits. We don’t think that it’s important to have a lot of women in the office to demonstrate our position, but rather to give each person in the studio the flexibility and support that they need to be successful and happy. It is clear that giving everyone the same opportunities is a no-brainer as this doubles our chances of having a great team!

As the founder of Stitch I hope that the environment we have created together allows present and future team members to feel proud and fulfilled, and sets an inspiring example of inclusivity for all the young architects who come through our front door.
