‘Our commitment to creating an inclusive studio culture has attracted the very best talent from across the industry’
EPR believes positive role models have an enormous impact on women’s confidence within the construction industry. The Women in Architecture programme provides a forum for our staff to share their experiences through the mentoring programme and participate in the process of improving gender equality, while the annual survey results provide an important marker as to how our profession is evolving.
As a practice we are actively involved in the RIBA’s equality, diversity and inclusion advisory group, Architects for Change. Most recently, this has included support for the FLUID Diversity Mentoring Programme run by Built by Us and supported by the RIBA, NAWIC and CIC and helping to develop the next phase of the RIBA’s Role Models Project launched in September. Our commitment and success in creating an inclusive studio culture welcoming to all has attracted the very best talent from across the industry and improved our gender split to 60/40 over the past year.
