‘It provides a very positive forum for tackling gender-equality issues within the profession’
Buckley Gray Yeoman is a proud partner of the W campaign. It provides a very positive forum for tackling gender equality issues within the profession as well as a platform for awareness in the office. Our continued involvement in the initiative assures our colleagues that we take gender equality seriously, and we believe it is fundamental to promoting greater diversity in architecture.
With a strong female presence at management level, we believe in equal opportunities without a gender bias. Retaining female staff through their career is high on our agenda and we offer some of the best benefits in the industry such as generous maternity pay and wide-ranging flexible working arrangements.
We believe increasing diversity in our workplace is essential to nurturing our commitment to create a friendly, cohesive and engaged workforce. We actively participate in the Hackney 100 scheme to give young adults living in Hackney workplace experience and we work hard to raise awareness of architecture in under-represented groups. Our partnership of the W programme plays a key role in our talent-attraction strategy and our participation is appealing to many candidates, regardless of gender.
