Celebrating invention and authenticity, the AR presents a snapshot of work in progress from around the world
Structured around a Vierendeel truss, the RSN House provides different types of space above and below street level. Below ground, the basement is completely open, a fluid space in which ‘everything seems possible’, says Zone-E Arquitectos. Above street level, the house is arranged along five distinct strips.
Three of these are enclosed domestic spaces, while the two intermediate strips, which both measure 3m wide, are left open in order to allow light to filter down into the basement of the house. Despite their formal and experiential differences, the two floors work together to create a singular and flexible dwelling.
