Monument Valley's Escher-like landscapes

Candy-coloured axonometrics revel in the aesthetic pleasure of the parallel projection

These images are taken from Monument Valley, a computer game which draws inspiration from the oeuvres of Escher and Eisenman while revelling in the aesthetic pleasure of the parallel projection (its clarity and simplicity now something of a lost art in these more hectic parametric times). Players must solve fiendish geometric puzzles while navigating a world of perspective-bending castles rendered in cute, candy-coloured axonometrics.
