Celebrating invention and authenticity, the AR presents a snapshot of work in progress from around the world
Mixing new and refurbished elements, this renovation of the Ditchling Museum will allow the museum’s collection of work by typographer Eric Gill, painter David Jones and others to be properly displayed. Gill famously established a Catholic craftsmen’s society at Ditchling in 1921.
An existing historic cart-lodge will be adapted to form an entrance and shop, and on higher ground, a Victorian school will house the main galleries. Between the two, a link building clad in black zinc will appear as the ghost of agricultural volumes that once occupied the site.
