The Big Rethink Part 2: Farewell to modernism − and modernity too

I am thrilled to read AR's theme-articles about "The Big Rethink"! It is constructive reading about how we should build on our experiences from the last decades with modernism, minimalism, etc into a future of sustainability and a wider range of humanity. However, I believe that a very big issue is to investigate our time's passion for Formalism: To re-educate architects within the holistic triangle: Form-Technic-Function. With a quotation of the Finnish architect, Juhani Pallasmaa: "The time has come for architecture, to come back to earth and to make a new home for man."
