Great article. You might add another fashionable crime - the fetishisation of materials. So many projects seem to make the distinctiveness of the facade their prime architectural idea whilst leaving the interiors impoverished both conceptually and materially. One example of many that stands out in this regard is the Ravensbourne College in Greenwich by Foreign Office Architects. A spartan and uninspiring interior wrapped in a lavish but ill fitting cloak of recondite geometrical pattern making.
