Podcast: Odile Decq’s 2016 Women in Architecture lecture

Listen to Jane Drew prize winner Odile Decq’s lecture which she gave at the Roca Gallery on 19 July

Odile’s lecture gave an insight into her diverse portfolio of work, ranging from her most famous buildings – such as the Fangshang Tangshan National Geopark Museum in China (pictured) – to her design projects, including her own pocket knife and lighting installations.

She also presented her recent school of architecture in Lyon, which encourages students to become entrepreneurs while learning the skills of an architect.

Odile Decq attracted international attention during the 1990s with projects such as the Banque Populaire de l’Ouest in Rennes. Her most recent projects include ‘Le Cargo,’ Studio Odile Decq’s contribution to Entrepot Macdonald, a large-scale redevelopment of a Parisian warehouse which now houses over 3,000 residents.

She was the recipient of the Architectural Review’s Jane Drew prize 2016. To find out more about Women in Architecture, click here.
