Richard Long’s photographs capture his temporary human intervention in some of the world’s most stunning landscapes

For 40 years, British artist Richard Long has walked the landscapes of the world, from Wiltshire in the UK to the deserts of Peru, pictured here. Sometimes representing just a fraction of a journey which could last weeks, his paths beaten in the dust or trampled through the grass are soon reclaimed by nature, but are permanently recorded in his striking photographs.
