In March this year, Sergison Bates from the UK, the Belgian firm noAarchitecten, and Swiss practice EM2N won the competition to design the Kanal – Centre Pompidou in Brussels which, like its Paris and Metz antecedents, will focus on contemporary art and architecture. The waterfront complex will involve the transformation of an Art Deco Citroën showroom and its adjacent factory. It is due to open in 2022
