A simple exterior hides an abstract grotto of crystalline complexity
A simple white rectilinear shell contains an abstract grotto of crystalline complexity. The several black doors, which can only be swung open in a specific sequence, reveal a staircase of white marble leading up into the space. More stairs lead downwards into a darkened crypt. Traditional religious symbols are conspicuous by their absence, but the space is backlit through a translucent onyx wall at the rear, materially reinforcing the structure’s likeness to a geode - a beautiful crystal cavity hidden within a prosaic stone.
