‘We continue to have the highest percentage of female architects of the UK’s 10 largest practices’
This year especially we are thinking about how we attract and retain a diverse group of talented colleagues from the UK but also across Europe and overseas. We have recently enhanced our maternity leave arrangements and are pleased to see more shared parental leave. We are committed to introducing more flexible working hours policies but also continuing to offer reduced working weeks to those in our practice with caring responsibilities.
I hope WIA can engage with the RIBA and a wider group of professional institutions to promote role models and expose exemplary working practices for all to address the imbalance in gender pay across our profession.
