‘We have recently enhanced our maternity leave arrangements and are introducing more flexible working policies’
As a practice, we continue to think about how to attract and retain a diverse group of talented colleagues, not only from the UK but also from across Europe and overseas. We have recently enhanced our maternity leave arrangements and are pleased to see more of our male colleagues taking part in shared parental leave. We are introducing more flexible working policies but also continuing to offer reduced working weeks to those in our practice with caring responsibilities.
I continue to see Women in Architecture (WIA) as an ideal partner, which can engage with the RIBA and a wider group of professional institutions to promote role models and share exemplary working practices for all to address the imbalance in gender pay across our profession. And beyond gender disparities, we feel too there is a role for WIA to promote diversity in a broader sense, expanding access to architecture to underrepresented groups and communities
