Under construction: The Earth Pavilion by Peter Rich

Peter Rich, architect of the Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre (winner of WAF’s 2009 World Building of the Year Award), is currently in London to supervise construction of The Earth Pavilion

The AR will report on the technical processes involved in constructing The Earth Pavilion - a temporary structure commissioned for The Prince of Wales’ A Garden Party To Make A Difference - in the next issue of the Architectural Review. Michael Ramage designed the pavilion with Rich.

Peter Rich is also in London to kick off the Royal Academy’s Autumn Architecture Programme, with his lecture entitled Landscape, Nature, Culture and Light, that will take place at the Geological Society on Piccadilly on September 20th at 6.30pm.
