Premature Exhibitionism

The first year architecture students of the Royal Colege of Art’s own end of year show in London

Every year, the Royal College of Art’s summer show offers a unique opportunity to experience the very best of emerging contemporary art and design practice from their graduating postgraduate students. For the first time this year, the RCA’s first year MA Architecture students will exhibit selected project work in anticipation of their next year’s graduation.

Students have established their own research agendas within the context of five diverse studio themes: prototype ‘Naturoids’ structures for high-rise urban food production; the varied interpretations of the ‘Walled City’ examined and realised through making; the ‘Architecture of Illusion’ as a device to manipulate and challenge notions of transparency; disruptive technologies and counterfactual histories that test ‘The Limits of Control’; and the world of processes and language of flow explored in ‘New Materialisms and the Timing of Space’.

The exhibition is free of charge and open to the public on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July from 10am to 6pm.

A private view takes place on Thursday 5th July from 6pm until late. Please contact for further details.
