GAGA FAQ

Frequenty Asked Questions about submitting work to the Global Architecture Graduate Awards

Q: Does it matter in which month I graduate?
A: No. As long as you are graduated in the last twleve months you are eligible to enter the Global Architecture Graduate Awards.

Q: Can I submit any project that I prepared during my final year?
A: Yes. You can submit any project prepared in your final year that you think gives you the best chance of winning.

Q: Can the five separate A3 pages of the PDF be tiled together to make one large page?
A: No. These should be submitted as a PDF file of single pages. See the example. This is because we print out the entries for the judges to look at.

Q: What format should I use – A3, A2, A1 or A0?
A: Please use A3 in either portrait or landscape.

Q: What are the dimensions of the PDF page?
A: You can use any resolution, so long as the file size is less than 4MB. Entries will be judged in print format, so you may wish to check legibility before you make your submission.

Q: Where should I put my personal information?
A: Please enter your personal information and contact information in the entry form. Entries are judged anonomously so please do not include your name or school on your PDF entry. However, please include your project name and phone number in your PDF entry. See the example.

Q: Can I put more than one image on a pdf page?
A: Yes. You can put as many images you like on each of your five pdf pages. However we would recommend not trying to cram on too many, but to make your project read economically. The judges last year called for more plans and sections, so please include these at a legible scale if appropriate.

Q: What is the maximum size and resolution for images?
A: Ensure your PDF submission is not over 4MB in size. You may have to compress your pdf. We will contact you for higher resolution images if your project is selected for publication.

Q: Are group projects eligible for entry?
A: Yes they are. Please submit one entry and include contact details for everyone in your group.
