Frequenty Asked Questions about submitting work to the Global Architecture Graduate Awards

Q: Does it matter when I graduate as long as it is during the year 2013?
A: No. If you are graduating from an Architecture Course in 2013 you are eligible to enter the Global Architecture Graduate Awards.

Q: Is GAGA open to both undergraduate and graduate-level students who are receiving a diploma in 2013?
A: Yes. There are two catagories, one for undergraduates and one for graduate-level student each of which have a £2,500 prize fund.

Q: Can I submit a project that I prepared as part of my final studio course work?
A: Yes. Any completed project that has contributed to your final mark may be submitted to the GAGAs.

Q: Can the PDF contain five separate pages/panels or should it be one page with five drawings
A: Your entry should contain 5 pages/panels plus an additional 6th page for personal details. These should be submitted as a single PDF file. See the example.

Q: What format should I use – A3, A2, A1 or A0?
A: You may use any page dimensions and resolution. Your 5 pages/panels do not have to be the same dimensions if you choose.

Q: Where should I put my personal information?
A: Please include your name, school and school year in your submission email and on the last page of your PDF. We will contact you using the email you use to submit work but please also include a phone number.

Q: Should I create a separate page in the PDF for my personal details?
A: No. Please include all your personal details on the last page of your PDF submission.We will contact you using the email you use to submit work.

Q: Should my personal details be on 5th page/panel or a 6th page/panel?
A: You should include your personal details on the 6th page and leave the first 5 pages for your design work. See the example.

Q: Can I put more than one image on a pdf page/panel?
A: Yes. You can put as many images you like on each of your 5 panels/pages.

Q: What is the maximum size and resolution for images?
A: Ensure your pdf submission is not over 10mb in size. We will contact you for higher resolution images if your project is selected for publication.

Q: Are group projects eligible for entry?
A: Yes they are. Please submit one entry and include contact details for everyone in your group on the final page of your pdf.
