The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI)

The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) is a non-profit international professional organization of architectural illustrators, whose goals are to foster communication among illustrators, to raise professional standards and to acquaint the public with the importance of such drawing in the practice, creation and appreciation of architecture.

The Society consists of over 500 members from countries around the world and is affiliated with national architectural and illustration organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Korea, China and the Philippines.

ASAI contributes to the architectural illustration community in several ways. It conducts two annual international competitions — one for professional members and one for students, which result in the Architecture in Perspective (AIP) travelling exhibition. ASAI also holds an annual conference, promotes professional tutorials and seminars, publishes a newsletter and offers advice to professional groups, business firms and aspiring architectural illustrators.
