Paul Sargent’s potent illustrations explore the relationship between the conscious and subconscious employing exceptionally rich textures
This is just one of a series of engaging drawings describing a journey through the mechanisms of the subconscious mind to conscious perception. They are the work of illustrator Paul Sargent who works across multiple mediums simultaneously to create effervescent images with rich layers of texture. Sargent’s work draws inspiration from form, geometry and implied space as he indulges a curiosity in the complexities and contradictions of the world.
Paul is a graduate of Norwich University College of the Arts which retains an increasingly rare respect for hand drawings and the craft of collage.
